Barcelona, 4 December 2008 – Speedy Tortuga is ensuring Spain has a new form of mobility with the Trigger. The Trigger is the first model with which Speedy Tortuga will make its debut in Spain at the Valencia Motor Show. Speedy Tortuga is launching the Trigger for a competitive consumer price of € 5,495.
The Trigger that is manufactured in the Netherlands is not only comfortable due to its two wheels at the front and one rear wheel but also offers fun and ease for two because the Trigger has two seats next to each other.
With its 49 cc scooter engine, it delivers various mobility facilities and the options of a car without a driving licence being required.
Thanks to its amusing image and its practical applications this ‘cochito’ (Spanish for small car) offers a wide range of options. It is compact and manoeuvrable in busy urban traffic and its top speed of 45 km/h ensures that it moves about quite fast in this type of traffic.
Its cabriolet properties also ensure that it is more than suitable for delightful cruising along a boulevard and for making short journeys or shopping trips in the city, which is no problem at all due to its 110 litre boot. The Trigger is also extremely suitable as an eye-catcher for corporate promotions and as a rental for tourists. Entrepreneurs are currently seeking unique new opportunities to stand out from the rest due to the current economic situation and the Trigger can be the solution.
Technically advanced
Under the steel frame and the plastic bodywork you will find an air-cooled scooter engine that is connected to a variomatic gearbox. This source of power will come alive through an electric starter in the steering wheel.
The two front wheels have been equipped with brake discs for the best possible braking performance and a maximum active safety. A drum brake has been installed at the rear.
Extensively equipped
The bodywork of the Trigger is made of plastic and can be supplied in four standard colours. The Trigger can be ordered in any colour and combination for an additional price. The Trigger is, moreover, extensively equipped as standard and includes 12-inch aluminium-coloured rims, a windscreen, a speedometer with a fuel meter, indicator lights to read the oil level, indicators, lighting, an electric starter, a stainless steel roll bar, side frames and a luggage rack, outside mirrors, seat cushions, a lockage boot (110 l) and the necessary prepared space to include a radio and alarm.
The Trigger can be optionally equipped even further to include a 13-inch light metal rear wheel, an alarm system, a stainless steel speedometer that includes a fuel meter and a roof for when it rains.
